Tesco Banchory in need of superheroes!

editorial image

Tesco Banchory is encouraging superheroes to visit the store this weekend to help raise money for charity.

Each year, Tesco chooses to support a good cause and over the last 12 months the company has been working in partnership with Cancer Research UK.

Their aim was to raise £10million which would be used towards improving research and increasing awareness to improve early diagnosis and detection of cancer.

Tesco Banchory is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday (February 2) to contribute to the final push in achieving the overall target.

There should be many well-known superheroes in store, as staff will be dressing up and children are encouraged to wear their favourite superhero costumes when they visit.

There will be a number of activities taking place throughout the day, including a superhero treasure hunt, face painting, gunge tank for several members of staff as well as craft activities for children.

Julia Fry, community champion for Tesco Banchory, said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing lots of different costumes on Saturday and hope that everyone will get behind us to support Cancer Research UK.”

The activities are due to take place between 10am and 4pm.
