Sir

LAST Sunday morning at about 10.30am the peace was shattered when two tractors arrived on the A93 with two large hedge trimming machines attached.

They proceeded to massacre the hedges in front of the caravan site (Banchory) completely destroying the beautiful display of Alexandra roses, leaving a much reduced hedge which had been cut down, considerably.

The owner of this well kept caravan site must be commended on the neat and attractive internal layout, with the grass etc. always well maintained. However to have the outside hedges so severly trimmed, surely was badly timed, when the wild roses were in full bloom, especially when we are all being urged to "save the bees".
All we see now, is a hacked back hedge, with a few roses at the back of the hedge, them having escaped the cutters.

Yours etc
Name and address supplied.
