At a recent assembly, 16 Primary 7 pupils at Midmar pledged themselves to endeavour to be fair to all, to serve their community and to show respect for others.

Iin so doing, the pupils joined the thriving Rotakids Group at Midmar Primary School.

School. Following the presentation of certificates, badges, and pledge cards to the new members by Miss Jennifer Dunn, Rotakids co-ordinator at Alford & District Rotary Club, she presented the new President

of the Group, Yvette Lawrence, with a Presidential Citation from Rotary International of Great Britain and Ireland.

The Presidential Citation was awarded for the outstanding work carried out by the group during the 2013/14 school year.

After learning that some of the children had written a song, and impressed by the singing of the pupils, Miss Dunn issued a challenge to the Rotakids group. She asked them to write the words of a song about Rotakids before the end of this school year.
