The Echt Show committee have had the cameras rolling to promote and celebrate their 160th anniversary with a new star studded music video.

The show, which takes place on Saturday, July 13 in Echt, celebrates the community spirit of Echt, Skene and Midmar.

After last year’s Echt Show film “Find a Date” went viral on Youtube with over 22,000 hits worldwide, the committee hope for similar success this year.

The Midmar Choir and Echt Show Committee provided the majority of the vocals under the guidance of Louise Hunter, the Choir Mistress.

Mhairi Morriss a key member of the Echt Show comittee said: “The aim of this year’s music video was to involve as many people as possible and for everyone to feel part of the Echt Shows 160th celebration anniversary year.”

Over 550 members of the local community star in the video alongside First Minister Alex Salmon, Olympic Gold Medallist Katherine Grainger, television presenter Lorraine Kelly, Day Break weather girl Laura Tobin and Alfords own Emeli Sandi.
