A number of Ballater groups and organisations are set to benefit when Ballater Victoria Week hosts its AGM later this month.

The nine-day extravaganza in August raised around £4000, as well as providing innumerable opportunities for locals and visitors to kick back and have fun in the Deeside village.

The fabulous weather this year made for a real buzz around the village, as hundreds enjoyed the scarecrow trail, duck race, pet show, vehicle parade and talent show alongside various sporting and musical events.

Among the dozen or so organisations set to receive donations of between £100 and £1000 are the Ballater Pipe Band, the Victoria and Albert Halls, Drumoak SSPCA, Ballater Winter Festival, Deeside Youth Music Theatre, Ballater Toddlers, Erskine Homes and the Fire Fighters Charity.

The annual general meeting will take place on Thursday, November 21, at 7.30pm in the Mike Sheridan Room, Victoria and Albert Halls, Ballater.

All are welcome to attend and there will be a fun film show of the week’s events and cheque presentations followed by refreshments.
