ABOYNE Academy celebrated the successes of its pupils over the past session with the annual awards ceremony in the school Games Hall.
The ceremony was opened and closed in the traditional way by the school piper, James McPetrie. During the event groups of pupils from the Performing Arts Faculty provided some musical entertainment.
Mr Raymond Jowett, Rector, welcomed Mike Powell, Aboyne Rotary Club, to address the pupils and to present the awards.
Awards were presented both for achievement in course work and also for a range of sports and community achievements.
