TWO members of staff have retired from the Glen O'Dee Hospital in Banchory.
Moira Adams and Sue Turner were joined by past and present members of staff at a farewell dinner in Banchory.
Moira started her 37 years of unbroken service with the NHS in 1973 as a nursing assistant in Pewsey Hospital, Wiltshire.
In 1978 her family moved back to Aberdeen and for the next 16 years she worked at Woodlands Hospital, Pitfodels.
On moving to Banchory, Moira worked in the community as well as doing bank shifts at Inchmarlo House Nursing Home, Aboyne Hospital and the Scolty Ward at Glen O'Dee Hospital where she became a permanent nursing assistant four years ago.
Sue trained and qualified as a nurse in Great Yarmouth in the 1960s. She moved with her family to Banchory in 1983 and started shifts at Glen O'Dee on an 'as and when required' basis a year later.
Four years later Sue started working regular hours.
Twenty-six years after starting at the hospital Sue and her family are happily settled in Banchory and she is looking forward to travelling and seeing more of Scotland during her retirement.
