Pictured is Monaltrie Park in Ballater, which has provided a dumping ground for the piles of snow cleared from Ballater's streets during early January.
A spokesman from Aberdeenshire Council said they had been under pressure to clear the roads, to help the residents of the Deeside village get around. Having filled the local depot, Monaltrie Park was the only other place to put it at the time.
He appreciated that it could take a while to melt but added that, while no complaints had been received from Ballater residents, anyone with concerns should contact Aberdeenshire Council on 08456 08 12 05.
