A renowned classical guitarist took time out of his busy schedule to give guitar lessons to a group of Deeside youngsters.
Gerald Garcia led the Aberdeenshire Guitar Players Workshop in Kirkton of Durris Hall.

The workshop was organised by local guitar teacher Andy Johnson and involved youngsters from across Deeside, including Banchory, Drumoak, Bieldside and Aboyne.

The players worked on a composition specially written for them by Gerald Garcia called 'Journey to Scotland' which received its first performance at the students' concert on Sunday.

The unusual composition included a guitar orchestra consisting of acoustic guitars, electric guitars and a didgeridoo played by Bruce Wallace.

The performance was well received by an appreciative audience and it is intended to make the concert a regular event in Deeside for the future.
