There will be two very different concerts hosted by Strathdee Music in February.
The first one is an afternoon of chamber music given by a young, talented trio ‘The Renard Ensemble’.
The trio consists of flute, clarinet and French bassoon, and the music played will include Mozart’s Divertimento No 1and Villa-Lobos’ Aria from Bachianas Brasileiras.
The concert has been generously sponsored by the Tunnell Trust.
This is at 3pm on Sunday, February 12, in the Victory Hall, Aboyne.
There will be tea, soft drinks and shortbread served after the concert.
The second concert is being held in Birse and Feughside Parish church at Finzean on Sunday, February 26 at 3pm.
This is given by the Scottish Tango Ensemble who had to postpone their concert in December due to bad weather. The lively ensemble will play an assortment of different styles of Tango Music.
From classic ‘Salon’ to the’ Nuevo Tango’ associated with Piazzolla, this concert promises to banish the February blues!
Refreshments will be served after this concert too and everyone will be made very welcome.
Tickets for both concerts are available from Aboyne Community Centre or at the door on the day. Price:£12 (£10 members) under 18s free.
