Robert Curgenven will be ‘painting’ sound landscapes at Woodend Barn, as part of the Burning Harpsichord Series curated by Bill Thompson.
Curgenven uses turntables and custom-made vinyl, instrumental harmonics and guitar feedback, interlaced with carefully detailed field recording to explore slowly shifting layers in the fabric of fields of perception.
Curgenven’s internationally renowned work explores the dislocation of the remote from a focussed perspective, much like an aural camera obscura.
Ex-Aberdonian Andy Smith, formerly of experimental punk outfit, Mickel Mass will be supporting.
Join them for an evening of compelling sound, from the edge of silence to complete immersion, at 8pm on Saturday (September 17).
Tickets are available from the Woodend Barn box office on (01330) 825431 or online at www.woodendbarn.co.uk
