Police Scotland is appealing for information after a cyclist sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision on the A93 Aberdeen to Banchory road at Drumoak.
The incident happened at around 1.35pm on Tuesday September 13, and officers are appealing for information to help trace the other vehicle involved.
The 24-year-old female cyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she is being treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Sergeant Rod Smith said: "This would have been an extremely distressing experience for the cyclist involved and significant enquiries are underway to trace the owner of the other vehicle.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who thinks they might have information that could assist to come forward as soon as possible. Considering the injuries the female sustained it is highly likely that the other vehicle involved would have been damaged.

"Extensive CCTV work is being carried out in the vicinity of the incident and the wider area as part of our investigation and the matter is being taken very seriously.
