Would you like to see your garden from a bird or a bee’s point of view?

Do you fancy making a tasty take-away treat for your garden birds? Are you a huge wildlife fan or want to learn more?

Then join in the fun at David Welch Winter Gardens in Duthie Park, Aberdeen, for a two-day event called Awesome Autumn which celebrates wildlife and has interactive events for everyone to enjoy.

This free weekend event starts at 10am on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday 11th and finishes at 4pm both days. You can get involved in lots of activities and learn how to attract wildlife to your garden.

This is the time of year when wildlife needs your help the most as the days get colder and animals eat plenty to fatten themselves up for the winter months. By having lots of fatty reserves, animals and birds have a much better chance of surviving the harshest weather.

“We will be on-hand to offer advice on feeding birds through the changing seasons and giving hints and tips on making your garden a wildlife haven,” said Mairi Cowan, RSPB community engagement officer.

“There’s a chance to get your hands dirty by making a tasty take-away that birds will find irresistible and to tell us about your favourite Awesome Autumn moments.”
