Guests staying at Hilton Craigendarroch resort in Ballater used their small change to help make a big difference to disadvantaged children.
“Small Change, Big Difference” ran in the Craigendarroch resort throughout October, November and December and raised £2,037.31. The campaign as a whole raised £140,975.95, running in 147 hotels in 20 countries hotels across Europe.
The campaign invites hotel guests staying at selected Hilton Worldwide hotels to add an optional £1 (or €1) onto their room bill during their stay. The campaign has already raised over £1million for children’s charities since its inception in 2004.
Paul Leitch, General Manager of Hilton Craigendarroch, said: “This is a great campaign and one that I am grateful to our generous guests for supporting us once again. The idea is wonderful in its simplicity and the results show that small change really can add up to make a real difference to disadvantaged children’s lives through Hilton in the Community Foundation.”
Hilton in the Community Foundation has supported children in Ballater since 2000 with grants to a number of charities including Friends of Aboyne Hospital and Ballater Primary School.
