One of Scotland’s most sought-after accessories, the Banchory Bangle, was unveiled this week by local singer Shannon Andrew – with children’s’ charity CHILDREN 1ST set to cash in.

Hot on the heels of the release of her first single, Shannon modelled the bangle, which was designed by internationally-renowned engraver Dr Malcolm Appleby.

Dr Appleby has designed a new bangle every year since the 1970s, making three exclusive bangles of gold and silver, which are raffled off at the charity’s annual fundraising Touch of Tartan Ball.

Raffle tickets are now available at £1 each. The Bangle is on display at the Wee Boorachie at Milton of Crathes. Tickets are available there, from CHILDREN 1st in Carden Place, Aberdeen, or by contacting Brenda Larkin on (01330) 822638.
