The Banchory Primary Running Club have taken delivery of their new kit after winning sponsorship from Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace.

As part of their “Advocating Youth Development” initiative, Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace received an overwhelming response from local youth sporting teams and clubs for the offer of £350 kit sponsorship.

Pamela Bursill, Branch Partner in Banchory said: “We are delighted to be able to help youth teams in our branch areas and received an amazing response to our initiative.

“Youth sporting teams are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain sponsorship and we are pleased to be able to help the Banchory Primary Running Club with their fluorescent bibs and running equipment”.

She added: ““It was a difficult decision to choose just one team to receive the sponsorship as there were so many deserving teams but we felt that the commitment and enthusiasm the running club show, particularly with training at 8am on a Friday morning, made them a worthy winner.”

Moira Longmuir, one of a group of parents who helps run and coach the team said: “Our runners work hard and this has given them an additional boost.”
