Knockburn Sports Loch played host to the ultimate 10k obstacle challenge, the Prime Four Beast Race last weekend.

The event on Saturday September 27 saw participants fight their way through the dense forest, undergrowth, bog, dirt tracks, and bitingly cold waters.

Ther were also 30 beastly obstacles along the way, from ‘barbed-wire crawl-unders’, 12ft high walls to climb over, clay pits and mud soaked tunnels.

Over 2000 people registered to take part in the event.

Organised by Aberdenshire based Firetrail Events Ltd, sponsors were Prime Four Property Development and it had Scottish Health Charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland as the official event charity partner. Entries more than doubled following last year’s launch.
