Clients of Kincardine and Deeside Befriending have been enjoying afternoon tea thanks to voucher donations.

They came from Banchory Lions Club and Stonehaven and District Lions Club in conjunction with Raemoir Garden Centre in Banchory and Kirktown Garden Centre in Stonehaven.

Lisa Wass, Deeside co-ordinator of Kincardine and Deeside Befriending, said: “Having these vouchers has provided a wonderful afternoon out for our clients.

“They have been taken to the garden centre by their befriender and enjoyed a tasty treat of tea and cake as well as much-needed companionship and social stimulation.

“We are very grateful to the Lions Club organisation and to both garden centres for their support.”

The charity provides social support to older people who are lonely or isolated.
