Braemar Castle is to be the backdrop on Tuesday for an open-air production of Hamlet.
However, with live music and colourful characters, the show has proclaimed itself “Hamlet as you’ve never seen it before.”
Folksy Theatre will perform in the grounds of the Castle at 7pm on Tuesday.
Castle Manager, Laura McMeekin says “We’re really looking forward to this event.
“This is a new venture for the Castle and we hope the sun will shine and people will bring along their picnic blankets and folding chairs and really enjoy this fantastic setting.
“If the Scottish weather lets us down, we’ll decamp and go undercover at St Margaret’s in the village.”
The production will be set in the Victorian period and will be peppered with folk music.
So join the Prince Of Denmark as he battles his inner demons and seeks to avenge his late father - in true Folksy style.
Tickets are on sale now priced £12 for adults, £8 for children and £35 for a family ticket from www.folksytheatre.co.uk or by calling Braemar Castle on 013397 41 219.
As well as Braemar, the production will travel the length of the UK from performing in Inverness all the way to Brighton throughout the course of July and August.
