Braemar Castle will commemorate the outbreak of war in August 1914 with an afternoon event on August 10 at 4:30pm, recreating a WW1 afternoon tea party.

The event is in aid of the Prince of Wales fund and will be hosted by the, then Laird of Invercauld, Lt. Col. Alexander Haldane Farquharson (Peter Mulvey) and his wife Zoe (Fiona Hunter) who will serve guests afternoon tea.

Castle manager Laura Meekin said: “Two ‘house guests’ will provide musical entertainment with numbers, all of which were in vogue in 1914 or before.”
