Buckingham Palace was the recent setting for the official ceremony celebrating the Queen’s Award for Enterprise winners for 2016.

Westhill firm Entier was among the list of recipients, recognised for its efforts in international trade, alongside an impressive array of peers from the business world across the UK.

Entier is Scotland’s largest independent contract catering and support services company.

Its chief executive officer Peter Bruce and managing director Scott Jackson attended the ceremony, which was hosted by the Queen and several other members of the Royal Family

Mr Bruce said: “Attending Buckingham Palace was an incredible experience.

“Her Majesty took time speak with us and as I was wearing the Entier tartan she commented that there was no denying where I was from.”

Following successful and sustained growth internationally, Entier was recognised as an outstanding organisation worthy of the prestigious award

In 2015, Entier’s international business surpassed its domestic business for the first time.

The firm says this only looks set to continue with expanding operations globally.

With offices in Aberdeen, Houston and one recently opened in Perth, Australia, the North-east company has grown and achieved since it was set-up in 2008.

Mr Bruce added: “This accolade is considered to be the highest recognition for British businesses and a mark of excellence.

“We are deeply honoured to be recognised in these prestigious awards for our efforts in the international arena.”

Entier, which has won a host of industry awards and accolades, is based at Arnhall Business Park in Westhill.

It provides first-class catering, housekeeping, maintenance and hospitality services to the oil and gas, education and business sectors as well as top-quality catering for corporate events, private functions and weddings and its own FRESH cafe outlets.

The company operates worldwide with more than 750 employees.
