A Banchory company is celebrating after winning a top accolade at the 2016 Trade Awards held at the Ardoe House Hotel at the weekend.

Sangster and Lees Joinery Contractors won the ‘Best New Business’ award at the ceremony attended by around 500 guests.

Owners Harris Sangster and Greg Lees were delighted with the accolade.

The judging panel was impressed by their craftsmanship, business development plans, and their business marketing strategies - ‘a modern joinery contractor with a fresh approach’.

The awards are Scotland’s only event to reward and recognise excellence in the trades industry, which is open to sole traders and large firms, with head offices in the North-east.

They were sponsored by the Stewart Milne Group.

Sangster and Lees was set up 18 months ago, and the firm is a member of the Banchory Business Association (BBA), the BNI Aberdeenshire, and NESBA. It is about to expand with further recruitment later this month.
