Amidst the chaos last Wednesday during Storm Frank there were many concerns for the future of the Cambus O’May Bridge.
The bridge took a beating during the storm as water levels rose considerably and a large piece of debris smashed into the frame work.
Things looked grim for the tourist attraction with many writing the bridge off as doomed.
However, much like the people of Deeside, the Cambus bridge showed strength and resilience in the face of great adversary and weathered the storm.
While significant structural damage is clear the key frame work of the bridge has remained in place.
It is unclear how long it could take to repair the bridge or how expensive this could be as Aberdeenshire Council are yet to survey the battered bridge.
