Following the execution of a drugs search warrant at a house in Glenkindie, near Alford, on Wednesday (May 2) a 53-year-old man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday (May 3).
Officers from the Aberdeenshire Proactive Unit searched the house following the receipt of information from members of the public that cannabis plants were being grown there.
The recovered drugs would have been worth in excess of £20,000 had they been sold on.
Constable Martin Robertson, from the unit, said: “Once again, we have shown our commitment to our local communities by responding to the information they have provided to us.
“I would urge anyone who believes they may have information regarding those involved in the supply of illegal drugs to contact Grampian Police.”
