From mountain to sea, the stunning scenery of Aberdeenshire has been captured on camera – and now you can own a copy just in time for New Year.

For those still searching for the perfect gift this festive season, help is at hand. Aberdeenshire Council’s photographer has been snapping away all year to expand the online image gallery which contains photos taken across the area.

From vast aerial shots of towns such as Peterhead and Stonehaven, to landscape pictures of famous landmarks such as Bennachie and the Falls of Feugh, the council’s photographer has worked tirelessly to provide a range of stunning views.

Events in schools, businesses and leisure are also available – providing a snapshot of life in communities across Aberdeenshire. In addition, you can find a series of winter scenes which would make a great Christmas or first-footing gift.

The photographs are available to preview on the council’s website, and can be downloaded from £5 each. The images – which come in a JPEG format – can be used with personalised gifts, from canvas panels, cards, calendars, clothing and cups.

The stunning scenes are the perfect New Year gift for friends and family who appreciate the diversity of Aberdeenshire. The photographs are also suitable for print publication and digital presentations.

Leader of Aberdeenshire Council Councillor Jim Gifford said: “These pictures are remarkable and show the stunning scenery and landscape of our area. We live in a beautiful part of the country and I am delighted that our photographers continue to capture the very essence of life in Aberdeenshire. These pictures would make a great present for anyone who appreciates the natural beauty that surrounds us.”

Deputy Council Leader, Councillor Martin Kitts-Hayes said: “This is a great opportunity for people to share in the experience and share it as a gift for friends and family.”
