David Cunningham, from the Archie Foundation, and Torphins youngster Molly Sim received cheques to the value of £500 for the Archie Foundation and The Neuroblastoma Society, as a result of raffle ticket sales at Deeside Dance Centre’s recent senior show at Woodend Barn.
Dance centre pupil Molly was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was just 18 months old and underwent surgery and treatment at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH).
Although a rare form of childhood cancer, neuroblastoma kills most sufferers, so Molly’s is a wonderful success story.
Thanks went to Stuart Park, who built and donated a garden wendy house for the main raffle prize.
The show was a great success, as was summer school during the holidays.
Term starts back on Tuesday (August 16) for dance and exercise classes for all ages in all styles – visit www.deesidedancecentre.co.uk or call Eileen on (01330) 820324 for details.
