Mid Deeside Church ‘Bread of Life’ charity shop has given more than £14,500 to local groups since it opened in 2014.

Written requests for funds are encouraged and every six months in June and December the shop volunteers make recommendations for allocating the half-year surplus to the Kirk Session who are trustees of Mid Deeside Church.

At its June meeting the session approved the proposal sfrom the shop volunteers that nearly £6,000 of the profits be distributed.

Other beneficiaries this time included Torphins Medical Practice for specialist equipment and Kincardine O’Neil Village Hall for new tables. The Bread of Life shop is open on Wednesdays, 10am to 4pm and Fridays and Saturdays, 10am to 3pm.
