Comedian lives up to his billing

Comedian Stewart Francis left most of his audience with sore cheeks at Aberdeen’s Music Hall on Monday night.

The Canadian is known for his perfectly timed one-liners and it was non-stop laughs throughout the evening as he lived up to the title of his tour - “Outstanding in His Field”.

This was the first time I’d been to one of Francis’s live shows but I was a big fan of his work on Mock the Week and had bought his first DVD “Tour de Francis”.

Unlike his last tour, the comedian dropped some of his one-liners to add a variety of new elements, including an unusual question and answer session with the audience.

However, there was still plenty of his trademark humour, including the winning joke at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe: ‘You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks’.

By the end of the show the audience agreed that Stewart Francis really was outstanding in his field.
