Staff at Milton of Crathes will be donning colourful hairpieces next week in support of CLIC Sargent’s national Wig Wednesday event.

On May 20, groups and businesses all over the UK will be wearing their wigs to support the charity. Funds raised from Wig Wednesday, will go towards the work the charity provides to young cancer patients as well as their families.

Three businesses at Milton of Crathes will be taking part including Milton Brasserie, Atholl Country Wear and The Milton Art Gallery. The staff are looking forward to swapping their usual work attire for some wacky wigs.

Jay Emmerson, owner of Milton Brasserie said: “The Milton Brasserie are delighted to be able to help out with Wig Wednesday. We are hoping to raise as much money and awareness as possible for CLIC Sargent, in order for them to continue their fantastic job all over the country.”

A wig related competition will also be taking place to raise extra funds with a £50 voucher kindly being donated by Milton Brasserie for the winner.

Holly Taylor, CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, said: “We can’t wait to see everyone’s new colourful hairdos.

“Every day ten children and young people are given the devastating news they have cancer.
