Criagievar film club​’s new season

Craigievar Film club kicks off its eighth season next week with the popular Ewan Macgregor film Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.

The film will be screened in Tullynessle and Forbes Hall, five minutes from Alford, on Thursday, October 11 at 7.30pm.

For those wishing to become regulars, membership for the 12 film season is £30 or £4 a film at the door. #

There will be a further five films up to and including the Christmas special on Thursday, December 27: The Excellent Marigold Hotel.

Films are screened roughly once a fortnight through the winter months.

Tea and coffee available and people can bring their own refreshments.

It contains a mix of recent, less well known films from around the world like the family drama ‘Still Walking’ from Japan as well as British titles such as the heartrending story of British children sent to Australia ‘Oranges and Sunshine’.
