A man has been charged in connection with a break-in at a Banchory clothing shop.

The alleged theft took place at Out There Active Wear in Dee Street last Thursday.

Police have recovered two vehicles believed to have been involved and goods worth a low four-figure sum.

A 19-year-old man was expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Detective Inspector Stuart McAdam said: “Inquiries are still ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone with information about the incident in question to contact police as soon as possible.”
