Pupils of Banchory Primary School’s Primary 5D class entered a Bike Week competition titled ‘As a Local Authority, what can we do to help promoting Cycling in your Area?’.

The classes’ entry was judged to be a runner up, however the winning school could not take up the prize so the school was awarded this special prize.

They won a ‘Bike Road Show’ event for the school.

The Bike Road Show visited the school for the whole day earlier this month and classes from Primary 4, 5 and 6 had the opportunity of a 45 minute session.

The Bike Road Show, which was supported by, Nestrans and Adventure Aberdeen, consisted of strange and wonderful bikes for pupils and teachers to try out, including; recumbent bikes, clown bike, folding bike, balance bikes, scooters, hand powered bikes and many more.

The pupils said it was great fun and got everyone enthusiastic about cycling!
