Dates for Marr bridge closures

Deeside and Donside residents take note of a number of upcoming bridge closures in the Marr area, which may result in delays.

Seven bridges in Marr will be subject to temporary closures this month to allow for routine inspection and engineering works.

Details of the closures are outlined below:

Invercauld Bridge on the A93 will be closed on Monday, March 16 from 7-9pm. As there is no practical alternative route, emergency and service bus access will be maintained although delays are possible.

The Dee Bridge, Ballater, on the B976 will be closed on Tuesday, March 17 from 7- 9pm.

An alternative route will be available via A93 to Dinnet, B9158 to South Deeside Road, and B976 to Ballater.

The Bridge of Buchaam Bridge on the A97, between Glenkindie and Bellabeg, will be closed on Wednesday, March 18 from 7-9pm.An alternative route will be available via A97 to C67M at Glenkindie, Towie, C43M to Rippachie Crossroads, A97 to A944 at Deskry.

The Bridge of Alford on the A944 will be closed on Thursday, March 19 from 7-9pm.

An alternative route will be available via C123M through Montgarrie to Keig, B922 to the A944 at Whitehouse, and A944 through Alford.

Don Bridge, near Mill of Brux, on the C65M will be closed on Thursday, March 19 from 1-4pm. An alternative route will be available via C65M to the A97 near Kildrummy, A97 to the C67M at Glenkindie, C67M to the C43M past Towie, C43M to U72M at Hillockhead, and U72M to C65M at Mill of Brux.

Montgarrie Bridge, near Alford, on Montgarrie Road will be closed on Friday, March 20 from 1-4pm. An alternative route will be available via C52M Montgarrie Road to the A944 at Alford, Bridge of Alford, and C123M to Montgarrie. For all closures, emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained. Vehicular access to affected properties will be maintained wherever possible.
