Deeside Musical Society is in urgent need of volunteers to help out with their forthcoming show, Little Me.
With rehearsals well under way, and opening night only a few weeks away, the society are desperately looking for dressers to help the cast in and out of costumes backstage.
Director, Tommy Baxter, said: “Little Me is a notoriously difficult show to stage owing to the vast number of costumes and costume changes required.
Each cast member plays multiple roles with the result that they have a minimum of ten changes each, sometimes with only thirty seconds to complete the change before they are back on stage as another character. This is especially true for the leading man who has to change character five times in one scene with virtually seconds to do so each time.
We have over 150 costumes and numerous wigs coming in five crates from the country’s leading theatrical costumier and unless we can find people to help, the show will be nigh on impossible for the cast.”
Tommy added: ”Little Me runs from April 24 - 28 with dress rehearsals on the 22nd and 23rd and ideally we are looking for people to commit to all of these dates, however we will be grateful for help from anyone who can commit to most of these dates.”
If you are interested in helping out, or would like further information, contact Tommy on 013398 85337.
Tickets are also on sale now and can be purchased from either the Deeside Community Theatre, Aboyne or from The Victoria Restaurant, Dinnet.
