Having recently completed his eleventh marathon and signing up for Team Inspire at this year’s Baker Hughes 10k, a dynamic Deeside business man has been inspired to go the extra mile for charity.

Rob Hamilton, of Drumoak, will run in the Westerton 5k Fun Run at this summer’s star studded Grampian Country Fair event in support of leading local disability charity Inspire.

Founder and managing director of Dynamic Edge Solutions, an IT service company who focus on providing businesses with the most cost-effective and resilient IT platform, Rob is well known in the field and regularly presents at industry events and keynotes on Cloud Computing technology.

Held on the 9th of June at Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire, the spectacular and star studded Grampian Country Fair is the only country fair of its type in Scotland, with members of the public joining Inspire staff and ITV’s Emmerdale celebrities for a day of outdoor events, glitz and glamour in stunning outdoor surroundings.

Rob, 40, said: “I am a regular runner at various marathons and fun runs and am closely associated with Inspire and the positive work they do. I am very excited to be running as part of the Dynamic Edge team at the 5k Fun Run as well as taking in the rest of the events at the country fair!”

All proceeds from the fair will go to the charity Inspire who enable empowerment to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs in North East Scotland. Entry for the fun run is £5 for those willing to raise £25 or more in sponsorship. The entry fee also includes free admission to the fair and all participants will receive a medal with a trophy awarded to the top fundraiser.
