Easter beasties!

Thirty children from the Banchory cluster schools took part in one of two Beastie Clubs organised by Deeside Forest Schools and Active Schools over the Easter holidays.

The Beastie Clubs were held in the Kirkton of Durris woods over three consecutive days from 10am – 3pm and were supported by outdoor professionals and volunteers.

The Beastie Club is an outdoor camp where children can explore, be creative, let off steam and have fun outdoors!

The children took part in activities such as den building, environmental art, toasting marshmallows, crafting bows and arrows, fire lighting, whittling and tracking games.

After the success of the Easter programme, Deeside Forest Schools and Active Schools hope to deliver a summer Beastie Club. For further details about the Beastie Club or Deeside Forest Schools contact Julia Mackay on (01330) 811576, m4cay@gofast.co.uk
