The much-anticipated Banchory School reunion was held at the Tor Na Coille Hotel on Thursday, September 4.

The event, which takes place every two years, saw 46 former pupils of Banchory Academy (then Banchory Secondary School) gather from far and wide for an enjoyable lunch and a display of memorabilia photos.

The group consists of around 160 former pupils. This year’s furthest travelled guest was Mr Roger Lindsay, who came up from Surrey for the reunion.

The oldest attendees were Mr Hugh Inkster of Ballater and Mrs Enid Black, who joined the school back in 1935.

The organising committee for the 2014 Reunion was comprised of Jimmy Hay, Sadie Wilson, Bill McHardy and Mike Robson.

All who attended had a wonderful time and found that stories which had amused them in their school days remained entertaining.
