The council say the Aboyne and Deeside Community Campus will close for 10 days for essential maintenance.

Aboyne and Deeside Community Campus is to close for 10 days from Saturday, October 8, for essential maintenance work.

It involves a new electrical panel being installed which will serve the school, library, swimming pool and community centre.

Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday, October 18, with the swimming pool scheduled to reopen on Friday, October 21.

Council Head of Lifelong Learning and Leisure John Harding said: “We have taken the opportunity to carry out these works during the October holidays so pupils at Aboyne Academy will not be affected.

“We do realise however that this means the swimming pool and other community facilities will not be available over the holidays and apologise for the inconvenience to our users and ask for their patience while we carry out this essential maintenance work.

“Other local libraries are happy to lend and receive items during the closure and nearby swimming pools at Banchory and Alford will be open for use.”
