Progress is being made on the new development at Westhill Shopping Centre, with the car park realignment due for completion early next month.

A number of mature trees were felled to make way for the development following an approved application in 2012. Nursery Nurse, Denise Bolton from Crombie Primary School jumped at the chance to bring natural materials in to play at the nursery and liaised with the site manager, Stephen Adams who arranged for a number of logs to be donated to the school. The children have already had lots of fun honing their balancing skills on the logs. Cllr Iris Walker said: “Aberdeenshire Council’s aim is to introduce more outdoor learning and this is a great example of partnership working in the community and also a great example of recycling natural materials.”
