The P6 class at Hill of Banchory School has recently been studying the Victorians and experienced life in a Victorian classroom first-hand.
Alan Fraser spent two days in school playing the part of the Victorian teacher very well and made the experience really realistic for the class.
The girls did needlework and used slates and slate pencils whilst the boys completed maths and used pens and ink to do a handwriting exercise. By the end of the second day, the class all agreed that they were happy to be at modern day school!
* During Science & Engineering week, one dad, Phil Johnson, spent time talking to the pupils about drilling for oil and gas said there was a fantastic level of interest.
