Staff and pupils at Drumoak School recently moved into their long-awaited new building.
The primary school has been described as nothing short of state-of-the-art, with a modern, light atmosphere, which the children and members of staff are enjoying enormously.
There is a large, well-equipped games hall, which can be hired for private use, new kitchen area, library, and all the colourful classrooms face south and enjoy views over the Deeside countryside.
The school has a roll of around 95 pupils and the new nursery opens in August.
Head teacher Paul Wilson said: “We are all delighted with the new school, and the pupils are enjoying the experience of all the new areas.”
The £7.3million project was approved by councillors in 2013.
The school had been due to open last year but construction was hit by delays.
Local people had been calling for a new building for years with the over-capacity school being served by one small building and several portable cabins.
Following the holidays. staff and pupils will continue settling into their new surroundings.
