Film success for former pupil

A former Banchory Academy pupil has had her latest feature film accepted into the 2011 Marbella International Film Festival.

The feature film, called Wounded, was completed this year with Lizzie Brown’s production company Bigview Media and is the second of their films to be accepted into this new film festival.

Lizzie grew up in Banchory and attended Banchory Nursery, primary and academy. Since leaving school in 2004, at age 18, Lizzie attended Guildford School of Acting, where she graduated with BA (Hons) in 2007.

Lizzie worked consistently as an actor for three years, including a role in an independent film called And Darren, where she met now business partner and friend Tom Large. Together, they set up Bigview Media Limited and Lizzie found her love of Film Production.

In 2009, Bigview set about producing their first fully-funded, feature length film, Fly Trap, which Lizzie not only starred in, but also co-produced with Richard J Danum. Fly Trap was accepted and well received at the Marbella International Film Festival 2010.

The company shot their second feature, Millbrook, in August 2010 and by the time they returned from Marbella last year, were already deep into pre-production on their third feature, Wounded, which has been accepted into competition at the Marbella International Film Festival 2011.

Wounded is a chase drama following the story of Sergeant John Woods, an injured soldier back from Afghanistan who goes on the run with a troubled young boy from an abusive family and is forced to confront his past as he is pursued across the country by the police and the child’s psychotic drug-dealing father.
