The Post Office Ltd have announced two consultations for the coming week on the re-location of a Deeisde branch of the service.

Residents of Finzean are invited to hear the corporation’s plans to relocate the village’s Post Office services to Finzean Estate, Deeside Farm Shop and Tearoom.

The core subpostmaster has reached an agreement with the shop.

Post Office spokesperson Brian Turnbull said: “Our priority is to maintain a Post Office service to the local community in the longer term, and we believe that the relocation of Finzean Post Office is the best way forward if we are to secure continued access to Post Office services locally.”

The services will be provided on Tuesday from 2:30 pm to 4 pm and Thursday from 9 am to 10:30 am and will offer the same range of products and services.

There is a car park directly outside the premises, which will have level access and a wide door.

There is however no direct bus service between the current branch and the new location.

The consultation period closes on November 5. Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd, via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, via the Customer Helpline on 08457 22 33 44 or Textphone 08457 22 33 55.
