Two Deeside mums have transformed their lives , losing over ten stone between them and finding careers as slimming consultants.

Nicola Gardyne of Dinnet and Jenny Stewart of Banchory found success with Slimming World’s Extra Easy eating plan.

Inspired by their slimming success, the two women have gone on to find new careers helping others to follow in their footsteps and watch the pounds drop off.

Stay at home mum, Nicola, joined the Aboyne group in January this year and has already lost four stone.

She said: “My festive overindulgences pushed me to my highest weight ever! Seeing a poster for the Aboyne group was the sign I needed to do something about my weight and I’m determined to make this new year’s resolution last a lifetime.”

Jenny, a part-time care assistant, has dropped over six stone in the last year.

Jenny said: “Whilst pregnant with my son, a midwife made a cutting remark to me about my weight and it really brought me down but it did also make me think about what kind of mother I wanted to be. I knew that my weight would stand in the way of running around with my little one so, once I settled into motherhood I knew it was time to act.”

Nicola will be welcoming new members at the Aboyne group re-launch on July 10 in the Huntly Arms Hotel at 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

Jenny re-launches the Banchory Slimming World group on July 8 at the British Legion at 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
