On Sunday evening, October 21, Sheila Sedgewick will lift the lid on the Invercauld Estate archive and provide a rare opportunity to glimpse into the history of this most archetypal of Scottish Highland sporting estates. For many years now Sheila has been the official archivist of Invercauld and has been researching and indexing the plethora of documents that are stored in the archive.
Braemar Local History Group is delighted that Sheila has agreed to be their guest speaker this month and on Sunday she will present a talk on her work on the archive and give an insight into the history of the estate.
The talk, which will be held in Braemar Village Hall at 7.30pm, is open to everyone.
Admission will be £2 and teas and coffees will be available afterwards.
