The McEwan Gallery has reached a remarkable milestone this year as it opens its 40th Annual Exhibition at Glengarden, Ballater.

As always, there is an eclectic and ever-changing selection of oils, watercolours, sculptures, ceramics and prints.

Exhibits range from an impressive 17th century Portrait of a Lady from the studio of Sir Peter Lely to a Scottish Tinker Girl by contemporary Perthshire artist Lucy Poett.

Rhod McEwan, son of founders Peter and Dorothy, is delighted to continue the long tradition of annual exhibitions held at Glengarden (just off the A93 on the A939) while his wife Yue Hong, originally from Beijing, has re-opened her colourful boutique, The Red Squirrel, adjacent to the Gallery.

The Exhibition opens on Monday August 4.
