Banchory Lodge Hotel has appointed a new general manager to run the show, bringing with him a wealth of management experience.
Robbie Mitchell, 33, has a wide range of experience in restaurant and hotel management and comes to Banchory Lodge from Edinburgh’s Angels Share Hotel.
He said: “I am delighted to be appointed general manager of this growing business and am looking forward to building the hotel’s reputation for great food and service.”
Banchory Lodge is set to undergo a huge refurbishment project.
Robbie said: “I am looking forward to bringing some new and fresh ideas to Banchory Lodge Hotel.”
He started his hotel career with Malmaison’s graduate training programme.
He has since held positions as deputy general manager of Jamie’s Italian in Edinburgh and as food and beverage manager at Edinburgh’s five-star Hotel Missoni.
During his career he has won several awards including helping Hotel Missoni win Scotland’s Best Italian Restaurant of the Year in 2011 and 2012 at the Scottish Restaurant Awards.
Robbie is also a Level 4 qualified BASI ski instructor and spent a number of years teaching skiing in the French and Swiss Alps.
