Chamber to launch new programme for members

Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce is launching a new, informal programme of engagement.

The initiative will form part of the Chamber’s regular dialogue with its members and help it to determine which services and benefits will best help member businesses to grow in the years ahead. Starting on 11 January, the Chamber’s membership team will host a light lunch between 12 noon and 2pm every Friday where members can come along and discuss their needs and learn more about the comprehensive package of services and benefits provided by the Chamber. Places must be booked in advance by calling 01224 343929.

The Chamber is North-east Scotland’s leading, cross-sectoral business membership organisation and has some 1,200 members, ranging from multinationals to sole traders, which employ 90,000 people. Its work spans advocacy and lobbying to business intelligence and training while membership confers access to benefits including HR and legal advice, export documentation, and discounts on foreign exchange, merchant card services, private healthcare and roadside assistance.

Robert Collier, Chamber chief executive, said: “The needs of our members are at the heart of our work. These new weekly sessions will afford businesses an informal opportunity to find out how they can gain the most from their involvement with the Chamber by meeting our dedicated membership team to discuss their needs.”
