Disgraced medic gets new job on Ensco rig

NEW JOB: Derek Keilloh formerly of Beildside

NEW JOB: Derek Keilloh formerly of Beildside

A former Army doctor who was struck off after the death of a prisoner of war in Iraq has found employment in Oil and Gas.

Derek Keilloh, a former Beildside resident was banned from practicing as a GP over his role in a cover up after Baha Mousa was sadistically beaten by British soldiers.

Following a 47 day hearing by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in late 2012 Mr Keilloh was found to have lied repeatedly to investigators.

The young medic formerly of ARI was alleged to have said he had only seen dried blood around Mr Mousa’s nose, despite the fact that the Iraqi hotel worker had suffered 93 injuries, including fractured ribs and a broken nose.

Amongst new duties with Ensco, Mr Keilloh is responsible for controlling major incidents on the rig.
