The Braemar Jacobites held their annual walk last weekend, this year to Loch Callater, where they were joined on Saturday night by a Land Rover safari from the village and all enjoyed a BBQ at the loch-side.
On Sunday, they made their way back down Glen Clunie to Braemar Castle and were piped home by Dave Torrance.
Local councillor Geva Blackett greeted them in the traditional way with a quaich of whisky.
She said: “I was delighted to officially welcome the Jacobite marchers back after their arduous walk from Loch Callater where they camped overnight.
‘‘This is a wonderful example of the community spirit in Braemar where people from all walks of life work closely together for the common good.”
